Senior Artworker

12 month maternity contract, full time

Hybrid (in the office 2 days per week)

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Artworker to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong artwork background and a passion for creating compelling meticulous print and digital files for the healthcare sector.

Position summary: This opportunity requires a blend of creative thinking, technical proficiency, and a keen understanding of the healthcare industry. Meticulous and calm under pressure, you’ll work closely with the Associate Creative Director, wider creative team and Account Managers to produce high-quality design and creative solutions.

Key responsibilities

Artwork delivery

• Deep understanding of print production processes, digital artwork requirements, and colour management.
• Create artwork packages for a variety of healthcare communication projects, including print, digital, social media, video and events.
• Adapt existing designs and layouts to various sizes and formats for different media channels.

Collaboration

• Provide technical advice and support to the creative team regarding artwork production, including print specifications and digital requirements.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional artwork files.

Project management

• Manage multiple artwork projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
• Maintain organised project files and documentation, including design briefs, drafts, and final deliverables.
• Ensure all files they are easily accessible, and properly filed on the server.

Technical proficiency

• Utilise industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, MidJourney and Figma) to produce high-quality visual content.
• Stay current with design trends, tools, and techniques to continually enhance design skills and output.
• Consistently set up files to best practice standards to ensure easy collaboration and seamless process.

Quality assurance

• Able to confidently and seamlessly retouch complex images.
• Review and proof all design work to ensure it meets quality standards, guidelines and client expectations.
• Conduct final checks and prepare files for production, whether for print or digital platforms.

Core capabilities

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong eye for design consistency and accuracy.
• Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, including FDA, EMA, or other relevant authorities.
• Ability to translate complex specifications into clear artwork packages.
• Unflappable under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
