SITUATION

Our client wanted to transform their approach to designing digital patient solutions, to ensure they deliver better outcomes for patients. Beyond the traditional, they wanted to inspire teams to come up with big ideas that truly change behaviour and establish this as standard way of working.

APPROACH

We used our CoLab approach, which is based on human-centred design and behavioural science principles to design solutions with purpose.

Over two days, four teams of participants from diverse teams and backgrounds collaborated to share ideas and cross-pollinate solutions. The approach involved in-depth thinking about the challenges that patients face with ideation focused on creating an emotional connection.

OUTCOMES

Four digital pilot solutions:

  • Increased commitment among teams to put patients at the centre of their digital solution design
  • Approach was repeated for an additional challenge following the success of this event.

“adopting a well-structured approach, helped us view things in a different way. BY BEING genuinely ABLE TO see through our patients’ eyes we HAVE IDENTIFIED WAYS TO Fix some of the problems THEY FACE AND implement some great solutionS.”
